An essay about saving a drowning boy

Write a story based on the picture below. You may use the words given to help you. Write your story in the space provided. Write your story between 80 and 100 words.

Ivan’s favourite pastime is fishing.
lovely morning – went fishing at a river
sat under a shady tree while waiting for the fish to take the bait
a boy who was playing football excitedly at the opposite side of the river

Out of the blue- heard a scream
slipped and fell into the river
screamed on top of his lungs for help
Without hesitation – jumped into the river to save the drowning boy
swam like a fish towards the boy to get him

dragged - with all his might to the river bank
Finally- was safe and sound
expressed his gratitude to – for saving his life
promised (vowed) to be more careful –
As the saying goes, “Once bitten twice shy” / learnt that a burnt child dreads fire
